Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Annie Jean Moore, age 85 of Calhoun Street Wadley, Georgia who died Sunday, November 9, 2014 in the Heritage Healthcare of Old Capital in Louisville.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2014, in the Wadley United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
A native of Metter, Mrs. Annie Jean was a daughter of the late David and Theresa Parker Grimes. She was a telephone operator for Southern Bell before she went to work for the Wadley Post Office where she retired in 1992 as the 16th Post Master. She attended the Wadley United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Annie Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Harry Grayson Moore, brothers; Arland Grimes, Charles Grimes, Ray Grimes, and Billy Grimes, sisters; Ena Mae Landing, Erline Foster, and Gwen McLaughin, and is survived by sons; Harry (Buddy) Moore (Karen) of Ft. Valley, Larry David Moore (Judy) of Wadley, Ronald Grayson Moore (Nancy) of Wadley, and Randy Alan Moore (Sara) of Wadley, daughter; Cathy Birchfield (Bob) of Louisville, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
The Moore family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in the funeral home.
