Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Annie M. Holbrook Salter age 84 of Bartow, who died Tuesday evening April 16, 2019 in the Comfort Creek Nursing Home in Wadley.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 19, 2019 in the Bartow United Methodist Church with Rev. William Thigpen and Rev. David Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartow City Cemetery.
Ann was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and was a daughter of the late Pink C. Holbrook and Ollie Mae Cooper Holbrook. She was a loving wife and mother, and a longtime member of the Bartow United Methodist Church. After over 20 years of service retired from the Jefferson County Training Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry B. Salter, siblings Mott Lamb, Gene Holbrook, Lois Thigpen; and survived by her daughters and sons in law; Deborah & Michael Cole of Riddleville, Sandra & Robert Cowart of Louisville, sons and daughters in law; Dale and Michelle Williams of Flowery Branch, Charlie & Bonnie Robinson of Roswell, step son, Gary R. Salter of Bartow, sisters and brothers in law; Florence & Grady Irby, of Louisville, Helen & Terrell Williford of Gibson, Dot Kirby, of Swainsboro, Christine & Gus Cash of Wrens, Wilma & Mickey Tawney, of Louisville, brothers and sisters in law; Dick & Sarah Holbrook of Louisville, P.C. & Lynn Holbrook of Boneville, Charles & Gail Holbrook of Thomson, grandsons; Michael E. Freeman, Jace Williams, Ben Robinson, Christopher Robinson, Jonathan Robinson, granddaughters; Heather Russell, Julia C. Duncan, Kimberly Christian, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, April 18, 2019, at the funeral home.
