GIBSON - Mrs. Amy Bell Byrd Lunceford, age 75 of Lampp Road died Sunday, November 16, 2014 in the Gibson Health & Rehabilitation center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 19, in the Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating. Graveside service will be held 1:30 PM in the Westover Memorial Park in Augusta. Pallbearers will be Randy Hill, Lynn May, Chris Shelton, Dude Shelton, Shirl Shelton & Edward Shelton.
A native of Glascock County, Mrs. Lunceford was a daughter of the late Carlton & Essie Dell Shelton. She retired after 32 years in the textile industry from Tropper Inc. and attended Bethel United Methodist Church in Gibson.
Amy was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Steve Byrd and Harvey Lunceford, son; David Byrd and is survived by daughter; Diane Barnes of Gibson, son; Randy Byrd of Hephzibah, sisters; Christine May of Evans, Mary Frances Atkins of McBean, brothers; Cecil Shelton, of Gibson, Thomas Shelton, of Warrenton, and James Shelton of Gibson, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
