Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Thomas Jay Stewart, age 67 of CB Lamb Road, Louisville, who died, Tuesday morning, August 28, 2018 in the VA Hospital of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, September 1, in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, with military honors, with Mr. Lionel Stewart officiating.
Mr. Stewart was a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He was a son of the late Lionel Jefferson Stewart and Ilka Marie Slimmer Stewart. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired after many years of service from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by; wife, Nada Stewart of Louisville, son, Lionel Stewart of Louisville, daughters; Kristy Stewart Brittain, of Council Bluffs, IA, Kristal Stewart, of Orlando, FL., Kerree Stewart, of Jacksonville, FL., brothers; Lionel Stewart Sr., of Jacksonville, FL., James Stewart, of California, sisters; Linda Berlt, of Oregon, Stella Stewart, of Texas, grandchildren; Thomas, Olivia and Haven Stewart, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
