Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Rupert Wayne Sasser, Jr., age 68 of Waynesboro, Georgia who died Tuesday morning March 20, 2018 in Burke Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2018 in the Rosemont Baptist Church with Rev. Wes Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Burke Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be members of the Waynesboro Masonic Lodge # 274 F& AM.

A native of Millen, Rupert was the son of Rupert Wayne Sasser, Sr., and Mary Nell Kelly Sasser. He was a retired welder previously employed by Burke County Road Department, a member of the Waynesboro Masonic Lodge # 274 F & AM and a member of Rosemont Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife, Gloria Sasser, sons and daughter in law, Allan Sasser of Waynesboro, and Nathan and Kim Sasser of Summerville, SC, granddaughters, Autumn Davis & Joshua, Halie Sasser and Abbygale Sasser, grandson, Nicholas Sasser, great granddaughter, Kenzeigh Davis, and sister, Mary Sasser of Waynesboro, Ga., several nieces, nephews and friends.

The Sasser family will receive friends Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rosemont Baptist Church.
