Joseph Paul Dye

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Joseph Paul Dye, age 75 of Cherry Road, Beech Island, SC, who died Tuesday, June 13, 2017.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Mitchell with Rev. Don Widner officiating.

A native of Mitchell, Paul was a son of the late Forries Allen Dye and Gladys Mae Walden Dye. He served in the Navy for 16 years and was a self-employed carpet layer for more than 30 years.

Mr. Dye was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Melvin Dye, Raymond Dye and Terrell Dye and is survived by his loving companion, Paula Edge of Beech Island, SC; his daughter, Kellianne MeLnick of Westchester, IL; sisters, Dotsie and Hoyt Cole of Gibson, Beryl Kitchens of Grovetown and Marcia and Terry Howell of Gibson; brother, Jewell Dye of Beech Island, SC; grandchildren, Briana Sullivan, April Reilly and Luke Palanczyk; 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The Dye family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 16, 2017 at the funeral home.

Taylor Funeral Home and cremation care of Gibson is in Charge of arrangements.
