Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Joanna Pollett, age 69 of Murphy Street, Wadley who died Thursday evening December 5, 2019 in the Comfort Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wadley.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday December 9, 2019 in the Wadley United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Wadley City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Bob Lunceford, Jeff Reich, Chuck Wimberly, Rocky Stewart, Chuck McMillan & Larry Purvis.
A native and lifelong resident of Wadley Joanna was a daughter of the late Shelton & Gladys Cashwell Foster. She worked as a secretary for Battle Lumber Company for more than 30 years and was a member of Wadley United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Pollett was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 46 years Charles “Bubba” Pollett, twin grandsons, Matthew Kenneth Lunceford and David Charles Lunceford, a sister, Patricia Jackson and is survived by daughters & sons in-law, Anna Marie and Jeff Reich of Statesboro and Elizabeth and Bob Lunceford of Washington; grandchildren, Emily Reich and John Reich, sister & brother, in-law, Becky & Roy Mick of Waleska, GA, brother in-law, Steve Jackson of McDonough, GA several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Wadley United Methodist Church, 36 W. Calhoun Street, Wadley, Ga. 30477
The Pollett family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday December 8, at the funeral home.
