Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Grady Irby, age 91, of Middleground Road, Louisville who died Thursday August 15, 2019.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday August 17, in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Joe Cheeks officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Avera.
A native of Jefferson County, Mr. Irby was a son to the late Tom P. Irby and Daisy Mae Byrd Irby. He retired after 25 years of service in public works with the City of Louisville’s water and gas department.
Grady is preceded in death by his parents, son, Tommy Irby, brothers; Bob Irby, Buford Irby, Gus Irby, sister, Marion Palmer, and is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Florence Holbrook Irby, of Louisville, son and daughter in law, Charles “Pinky” Irby Sr., and Linda, of Louisville, daughter, Shelba Reeves, of North Augusta, sister, Dorothy Kelley, of Macon, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, several nieces, nephews and friends.
