Earl Lamb

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Clarence Earl Lamb, age 73 of Highway 171 North, Louisville, who died Monday evening, April 17, 2017 at his residence. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Jordan’s Chapel Church of God with Rev. David Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Dwight Reese, Hershel Waits, Tracy Walden, Jamie Hawkins, Bill Godowns, Cole Godowns, Scott Lamb, Greg Lamb and Anthony Lamb.

A native of Jefferson County, Earl was a son of the late Clarence and Evydell Williford Lamb. He worked as a truck driver for Hershel Waits for over 30 years before retiring and loved fishing, hunting and the country life.

Mr. Lamb was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Lamb and is survived by his loving wife, Lucille H. Godowns Lamb of Louisville; son, Jeffery Earl and Bonnie Lamb of Louisville; step-daughters, Sandra LaDonna Godowns of Louisville and Mary Angela Huff of Louisville; step-sons, Jack J and Donna Godowns of Louisville and Randell Scott Godowns of Louisville; sister, Christy and Joe Williams of Gibson; brother, Harold and Cathy Lamb of Edgehill and several nieces and nephews.

The Lamb family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jordan’s Chapel Church of God or to the American Heart Association.
