Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral service of Ms. Caroleene (Penny) June Stevens, age 74 of Nelson Lane, Louisville, Georgia, who died Tuesday, July 18, 2017.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 21, 2017 in The Cross Community Church, Louisville, with Rev. Edward Salter officiating. Burial will follow in the Jefferson County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Sutton, Lucas Wilson, Chris Goodwin, Bubba McGraw, Tony Stavely and Ben Gordy.
A native of Portland, Oregon, Penny was a daughter of the late Hamelton Stevenson and Alice Houghtaling. She was a retired waitress and a member of The Cross Community Church, Louisville, Georgia.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Stevens; brother, George Stevenson and sister, Charolette Wunsche, and is survived by her son, Jeff and Brandy Sutton of Louisville; daughter, Brenda and Martin Montoya of Umatilla, Oregon; grandsons, Dustin Sutton of Sandy, Oregon and Dallas Wilson of Bend, Oregon; granddaughters, Carrie and Jeff Frazier and Amanda and Michael Caruso of Portland, Oregon, Megan Wilson of Augusta, Georgia and Chicago Wilson of Louisville, Georgia; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The Stevens family will receive friends in the church immediately following the service on Friday.
