Ben Culvern

Taylor Funeral home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mr. Ben Culvern, age 47, of Academy Drive, Louisville, who died Sunday morning, May 7, 2017, in the Jefferson Hospital.

Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 10, 2017, in the Louisville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill Cain officiating. Burial will be in the family lot of the Louisville City Cemetery.

Ben was born in Dublin, but lived his entire life in Louisville. He was a loving son, brother, and friend, who was known by his family and friends to be a master Crayola marker artist and a world-class putt-putt player. He was educated by Dr. Molly Howard through the Jefferson County School System and most recently worked at the Jefferson County Service Center. He was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Louisville. 

Ben was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert M. & Helen Bennett Culvern; maternal grandparents, William F. & Teresa Page Govreau and is survived by parents, Joe & Rita Culvern; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Kenneth Hildebrant; nephew, Jackson Hildebrant and niece, Jordan Hildebrant, and his special friend and caregiver Gail Boyd, all of Louisville.

The Culvern family will receive friends following the service Wednesday in the church.

The family request memorials be made to the Jefferson County Hospital Foundation, 1067 Peachtree Street, Louisville, GA 30434.

Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
