Obituary

Mrs. Polly S. Williford, age 82, of Bermuda Drive, Louisville, died Tuesday, February 3, 2010, in Jefferson Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 5, 2010, in the Louisville First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Montgomery and Rev. Hardy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Taylor, Larry Morgan, Robert McGill, Steven Stanley, Mike McDowell, and Ott Stevens. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Philathea Sunday School class of Louisville First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Williford, a native of Mitchell, was a daughter of the late DeLeon and Christine Johnson Snider. She was a homemaker and was a member of Louisville First Baptist Church for 41 years.

Mrs. Williford was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband Kester Williford of Louisville; a son, Ronald Williford and his wife Elizabeth of Louisville; a brother, Robert L. Snider of Gibson; 4 sisters, Julia Jones and Sarah Parrish, both of Augusta, Mary Saye of Rome, Georgia, and Sherrie Winkler of Harlem; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Snider of Pavo, Georgia; 2 grandchildren, William Cody Williford and Katy Elizabeth Williford, both of Louisville; 2 great-grandchildren, 7 nieces, and 3 nephews.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM today, Thursday, February 4, 2010, at the funeral home.

Taylor Funeral Home 401 West 8th Street, Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
