Obituary

Mr. Frank Herman Mahnks, age 88, of Omaha, Nebraska, formally of Louisville, died June 12, 2010. Graveside inurnment services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 31, 2010, in the Louisville City Cemetery with Chaplain Major Moses Toole officiating.

Mr. Mahnks was born December 21, 1921, in Tonawanda, New York, a son of the late Frank Herman and Sally Walden Mahnks. He was an Army Veteran serving in World War II and had worked as a self employed brick mason for many years.

He was preceded in death by parents; Frank Herman and Sally Walden Mahnks, 2 brothers, Walter and Norman Mahnks; 2 sisters, Elsie Church and Dorothy Resinger, and is survived by sons: Bart Mahnks and his wife Karina of Omaha, Daniel Mahnks and his wife Mary of Medway, Massachusetts; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The Mahnks family will receive friends following the service Saturday July 31, 2010.

Taylor Funeral Home 401 West 8th Street, Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
