Mrs. Mary Velma Odum Henderson, age 90, of Louisville, died Thursday morning, December 31, 2009, in the Jefferson Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 3:00PM Sunday in the Louisville United Methodist Church with Rev. David Hibberts officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Greg Hall, Bobby Dollar, Michael Dollar, Jason Henderson, Joe Cox, & Larry Atkins.
Mrs. Henderson was born July 16, 1919, in Kite, GA, a daughter of the late Charlie & Clara Odum. She was a homemaker and a member of Louisville United Methodist Church.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert W. Henderson, Sr., brothers, Clyde and Wilber Odum, and sisters, Marion Reid and Ruth Davis.
She is survived by, son & daughter-in-law, Robert W. (Bob) & Carol Henderson, Jr. of Louisville, daughters & sons-in-law, Marinell H. & Richard Armstrong, of Statesboro, Gwen H. & William Poppell, of Evans, brother-in-law, Clarence W. & Betty Jean Henderson, Jr., of Louisville, sister-in-law, Eunice Odum of Savannah, 8 grandchildren, Sydna Williams, Rich Armstrong, Jason Henderson, Shawn Henderson, Jill Hall, Lindsey Mitchell, Michael Dollar, & Bobby Dollar, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews & cousins.
The family may be contacted at the home of her son, Bob & Carol Henderson, 1044 Dollar Street, Louisville.

The family will receive friends 6:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday evening, January 2, at the funeral home.
