Pearlie Maude Newsome Bragg, age 95, of Louisville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 18, 2010, at Jefferson Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 21, 2010, in the Louisville First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Montgomery and Rev. Hardy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mitchell McGraw, Jason McGraw, Tony Brett, Robby Brett, Darren Rowland, and Britt Searcy.
Mrs. Bragg, was born in Glascock County, and was the daughter of the late Reuben S. and Molly Powell Newsome. For more than 35 years she was a clerk with the Louisville Drug Company. She was a faithful member of Louisville First Baptist Church for more than 74 years where for many years she taught the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Louisville Homemakers Club.
Mrs. Bragg was preceded in death by her parents; Reuben S. and Molly Powell Newsome, her husband; Jack Roscoe Bragg, a son; Robert Bragg, two sisters; Leona McGraw and Blanche Grundy, two daughters-in-law; Elaine Bragg and Anne Bragg and is survived by son; Bill Bragg of Louisville, daughter; Bette Bragg Rowland and her husband Harry of Smyrna, sister; Elizabeth Weeks of Wadley, four grandchildren; Julie Brown of Chattanooga, Darren Rowland of Smyrna, Tami Green of Davisboro, and Hollie Holland of Austell, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the home of her son, Bill Bragg, 1052 Fairlane Drive, Louisville.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests, those desiring, please make contributions to the Louisville First Baptist Church at 101 E. 9th St., Louisville, Georgia 30434.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Wednesday, January 20, at the funeral home.
Taylor Funeral Home 401 West 8th Street, Louisville, is in charge of arrangements.

Created On: 03/06/2010 08:55:24 I will always remember Mrs. Bragg she was always very kind to me and my family as a little girl I went to Rexall drug store were she worked and she never saw the color of my skin she always waited on me and my sisters. We always went to her when we went there. A very blessed and wonderful lady,I know she's an heavenly angel.
