Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Ms. Ruth Williams Smith, age 78 of Bermuda Drive, Louisville, who died Thursday, June 29, 2017 in the Jefferson Hospital.
A private graveside service will be held for the family.
A native of Louisville, Ruth was a daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude Melton Williams. She retired from Piggly Wiggly, where she worked as a meat cutter for over 20 years.
Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Smith; brothers, James, Dennis and Edward Williams and daughter, Barbara Bowles and is survived by a son, Gary and Diane Smith of Louisville; daughter, Kay Deriso and Tony Garin of Avera; sister, Betty Wasden of Louisville; grandchildren, Brooke McClure, Shelby Todd, Beth Braddock, Jennifer Roberts and Susan Walden; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The Smith family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the Smith family request memorials please be made to the Parkers United Methodist Church Cemetery fund, P. O Box 205, Bartow, GA 30413.
The family will gather at Ms. Ruth’s home, 1045 Bermuda Drive, Louisville, GA. 30434.
Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Louisville will be in charge of arrangements.
