Ralph and Winnie were like second parents to so many young ones growing up in the Nazarene Church in Louisville and Augusta. I loved them dearly and I'm heart broken for his family. Ralph didn't have to preach a sermon from the pulpit....he lived one everyday and we know that we can find him sitting at the feet of Jesus when we meet him again.

I remember the Hartley's from away back in Augusta. Such good, Christian people. I was sorry to hear about Bro Hartley's passing, but I'm sure he is having a great time in his new home, in his new body! We went to church together for many years, and all of them were very special to my family. Time and distance separates us, and we lose contact, but not the happy memories we share. My prayers of comfort to the family, now in the days to come. You were truly blessed to have him with you all for the many years you did! With love and prayers, Mary Draughon-Garvin

Certainly, it is most distressful that you are mourning the loss of your dear Ralph. Please accept my condolences and know that God is indeed aware of your pain. His comforting word assures us that in due time, He will indeed act to forever end all suffering including death, as expressed in the faith strengthening video.

Brother Hartley, as I knew him, always meant a lot to me as I was growing up in the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene. Our families were great friends. I will never forget the time he took me fishing down in Louisville. I think that is the first time I was ever out in a boat with anyone. He was such a wonderful Christian man and he will be greatly missed. May God bless all of your family in these days of loss.

Cynthia and family
I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Ralph, it's been so many years since I had seen him, I was thinking maybe it was at a revival at the Nazarene church in Louisville and he was leading the singing, I'm sure he's singing with all the angels in heaven with your mom, it's so hard to lose them but when you know where they are going and will not be suffering anymore it gives you peace.

I'm thankful for the years we worshiped together here in Augusta when all of you were young and know we will meet around Gods throne one day.

God bless you all you're in my prayers

Mr. Ralph was a great man. I will always remember the times that I spent with him and Mrs Winnie. That was practically my second home when I lived with Marie. We had great times that will always be treasured.

Marie and family I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Ralph was a true example of what a true Christian really is. He always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. He worked so faithfully leading the choir at the Louisville Nazarene church. I remember one of his favorite songs was How Great Thou Art. Every time we sang that song Mr. Ralph would just shout and say he was under the spout where the glory was pouring out! What a testimony he left for each of us. I will always treasure those memories.

Mr. Ralph was a such a blessing not only to his church and family, but to everyone who had the honor of meeting him. I am so honored to have had the chance to grow up with him as part of my church family. He will be singing and leading the choirs of angels now. You will all be in my prayers.

Grandeddy.....I am so glad you stayed around to hang out with us for as long as you did. You fought so hard when you didn't have to. You can tell Granny all about Memphis! You sure did light up when she came around. I am so happy you and Granny are together again, and you can see your mama again. We will miss you dearly, but you are in a much better place for sure.
❤️❤️❤️❤️Love you always.....M & M

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is a terrible tragedy to suffer. Your loved one lived what many consider to be a long life. However, to God, it was not long enough. God purposed for humans to live forever, so no one would have to experience the grief that death brings (Romans 6:23). God will act soon to put an end to the last enemy, death (1 Corinthians 15:26). I hope you found comfort in these words. For more Bible information and comfort, please visit JW.org.
Sincerely,
Dru

This is so sad to hear. We had so many sweet memories over the years. Mr. Ralph always had a hug ready and waiting. Oh what a reunion there was last night with Mrs. Winnie and all of the Saints from the Louisville Church of the Nazarene. Rest in Peace Mr. Ralph. You will be missed!!

So sorry to hear of Mr. Ralph or "Uncle Ralph" as Peggy always called him. He was one of the few left who always treated you as family every time you was around him. I know we didn't see him often but always enjoyed when we did. I know the family and many friends will miss him, but will never be forgotten. May God be with each of you at this time of sorrow,.
