Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services for Mr. Ralph Garry Bales, age 75 of Georgia Highway 171 South, Gibson, who died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in the University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 in the Mitchell Full Gospel Church, Mitchell, GA with Rev. Chris Williford officiating. Mr. Bales will lie in state at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Craig Hunnicutt, Anthony Griswell, Craig Reece, Mike Lyons, Scotty Usry and Sam Griswold.
A native of Edgehill, Ralph was son of the late Rev. Ralph Bales and Glenice Cooper Bales. He was a painter and farmer and a founding member of Mitchell Full Gospel Church.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his son, Brian and Tiffany Bales, granddaughter, Taylor Bales, sisters, Cristal Hunnicutt and Kay and Rev. Jacky Downs, all of Mitchell.
The Bales family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2016 at the funeral home.
