Nelle B Irwin

Mrs. Nelle Boulineau Irwin, age 86 of Highway 24 East Louisville, died Monday morning, December 19, 2016 in the Silver Linings Personal Care Home in Stapleton.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2016 in the Louisville United Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Daniel and Rev. John Boulineau, of Columbus, GA officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Barwick Sunday School Class.

Nelle was a native of Wrens, GA, a daughter of the late Joe & Ethel Avery Boulineau. She was a graduate of Wrens High School and received a degree in Nursing from Emory University at Grady Hospital. She had worked as a Medical Technologist at Louisville Hospital and with Dr. Walter Revell for many years. Mrs. Irwin was a long time member of Louisville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the Business Professional Women’s Club.

Nelle was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William P. Irwin, Sr., and 9 siblings. She is survived by sons, William P (Carol) Irwin, Jr., of Evans, Bobby (Kelly) Irwin of Louisville; daughter, Jennie (Floyd) Simons of Summerville, SC; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Louisville United Methodist Church, 301 West 7th Street, Louisville, GA 30434.

The Irwin family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the services Thursday in the church fellowship hall.
