John "Bobby" Robert Horton

Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. John “Bobby” Robert Horton, age 78 of Breeze Way Ave, Eulonia, Ga., formally of Louisville, Ga., who died Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, July 21, 2017 in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, Louisville, Ga. with Rev. Tom Gardner and Rev. Darren Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Louisville, Ga.  Pallbearers will be:  Van Horton, Aaron Horton, Andy Horton, Mike Soles, Bill Horton, Jr. and Kelly Horton.  Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Brad Hagan, Tommy Lamb, Grayson Watson, Josh Horton, Robbie Horton, Scott Corley and Brandon Soles.

A native of Dublin, Ga., Bobby was a son of the late John R. Horton and Willie V. Walker Horton. He had been a salesman for MidSouth and served in the National Guard Armory for seven years.   

Mr. Horton is preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Patrick Horton; grandson, Brandon Soles and is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Pat” Horton; daughter, Connie & Mike Soles of Ellabell, Ga.; sons, Van & Donna Horton of Springfield, Ga., Andy & Dawn Horton of Vidalia, Ga. and Aaron & Tamara Horton of Reidsville, Ga.; grandchildren, Eryka Soles, Vania Hagan, Robbie Horton, Anna Horton, Erin Horton, Hailey Horton and Christie Sumner; great grandchildren, Jayda Soles, Destinee Soles, Khaci Marsh, Michenzie Soles, Trypp Soles, Caleb Hagan, Mackenzie Hagan, Seth Sumner, Scout Sumner and Walker Johnson; brothers, Billy Horton of Beaufort, SC and Wayne Horton of Vidalia, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.

The Horton family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the funeral home before the service.

Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Louisville will be in charge of arrangements.
