Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. John Thomas Hattaway, Jr., age 90 of East Peachtree Street, Louisville, GA, who passed away, Monday, October 19, 2015 in the Charlie Norwood VA Hospital, Augusta, GA. 

Graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the Louisville City Cemetery with Mr. Scotty Hattaway officiating. 

A native Jefferson County, John was a son of the late John T. Hattaway, Sr. and Maggie L. Mullin Hattaway. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran serving during World War II, and also served in the Georgia National Guard. He had works as a maintenance supervisor with J.P. Stevens and retired after many years of service with from Union Camp.  

Mr. Hattaway was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Jerry Hattaway and Wayne Hattaway, sisters; Margaret Walden, Edith Kelly, Barbara J. Pennington and Mary Lamb and is survived by wife; Gail T. Hattaway of Louisville, sisters; Ethel Davis of Louisville and Carolyn Rowell of Louisville, step-sons; Bobby and Dana Samples of Evans, Steve and Nancy McLelighten of Roswell and Greg McLelighten of Savannah, step-daughters; Donna and Stephen Lyons of Savannah and Jan and Serge Loginow of North Wells, PA, 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; Christina Bragg and Aaron Chalker of Louisville, several nieces and nephews.
