Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Jeanette D. Tanner, age 89 of Louisville, who died Wednesday morning, March 30, 2016 in the Silver Linings Personal Care Home in Stapleton.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the Louisville First Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Witt and Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Jefferson County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Frank Ethridge, Jay Davis, Brian Rabun, Ronnie Templeton, Jerry Whiteside and John Cofer.
A native of Johnson County, Mrs. Tanner was a daughter of the late James W. Davis and Pearl Gibson Davis. Jeanette retired from Piggly Wiggly and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Tanner was preceded in death by her husband, Horace J. Tanner and 8 siblings and is survived by her son, Jimmy and Martha Tanner of Johns Island, SC, daughter, Jean T. and Bernie Christian of Evans, GA, grandchildren, Jason Tanner, Jonathan and Amanda Tanner, Charles A. “Tony” Toole, Jr., Becky and Terry Skinner, and Jennifer and Brian Larochelle, great grandchildren, Kaley, Jake, Aibhlinn, Madison and MacKenzie, and sister, Juanita Cofer of Louisville, several nieces and nephews.
The Tanner family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2016 in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home.
The family request memorials be made to the Louisville First Baptist church, 101 E 9th Street, Louisville, Georgia 30434.
The family would like to thank the staff of Silver Linings Personal Care Home for the love and care given to Mrs. Tanner during her stay.
