Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Willie Miles “Bill” Kelly of Beechtree Acres Road, Gibson, Georgia who died Friday, July 29, 2016 in the University Hospital Augusta. 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 2, in the Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Edison, GA with Elder Walter Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Van Plowden, Chuck Walden, Ken Kelly, Mike Kelly, Danny Kelly and Tim Kelly. 

A native of Edison, GA, Mr. Kelly was a son of the late Elder Albert Roy Kelly and Mary Mildew Blackshear Kelly. Bill was a United States Air Force Veteran and was employed with Weiser Security as a security guard. Bill’s passion was music. He was an avid guitar player and song writer. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hiram Roy Kelley, Dane Ralph Kelly and King Ray Kelley and is survived by wife, Kathy Coleman Kelly of Gibson; brother, Rodney Brian Kelly of Rapids, NC; sister, Marcia Kelly Plowden of Ft. Gains, GA; daughters, Robin Denise Brown of Pascagoula, MS, Michele Renee Emmons of Wade, MS, Kimberly Ann Cooper of Kermit, TX, Mary Ellen Black of Gibson, GA; sons, Joe Michael Brooks of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Chuck Walden of Gibson, GA, Tony Ray Johnson of Duluth, GA, Timothy Wayne Johnson of Gibson, GA; 23 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The Kelly family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home and 1:00 to 3:00 PM Tuesday at the Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church prior to the services. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Taylor Funeral home to help with expenses.
