Bessie Broadnax

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Bessie Mills McCall Broadnax, age 88 of Broadnax Road, Mitchell, Georgia woh died Friday morning, September 25, 2015 in the Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday at Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie McCall and Rev. Jacky Downs officiation. Burial will follow in the Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Michael May, Phillip May, Eddie May, Jimmy Braodnax, David Bales and Austin Justice.

Mrs. Broadnax was a native of Knox, KY but had lived in Mitchell for many years.  She was a daughter of the late John and Lily Stewart Mills.  Bessie was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church.

Bessie is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Jim Broadnax, brothers; Bill Mills and Bobby Mills and sister; Hazel Gordon and is survived by sons; Rev. Lonnie and Elaine McCall of Appling, and Jimmy and Sara Broadnax of Mitchell, daughters; Charlene and Sam Griswold of Mitchell and Barbara May of Mitchell brother; Carl Mills of Gibson, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

If so desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Broadnax family will receive friend’s 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
